J. Richard Bertrand - Governor Emeritus

Richard Bertrand is Vice-President, Government Affairs for Pratt & Whitney Canada, a world leader in aviation engines. Mr. Bertrand has held a number of positions in the past, including President of IThink Inc., providing business strategy support and direction, Vice-President of SHL Systemhouse, and partner in ECL Executive Consultants, at the time one of Canada’s leading government relations firms. He has directed a number of companies and serves on several company boards. He is currently Chair of the Board of Alterna Bank with headquarters in Ottawa.

Richard Bertrand received his MBA from the University of Ottawa and his B.Sc. from McGill University. A former Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of Ottawa, he continues as an Honorary Member of the Board of Governors and is also a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Management.
