Michael Pal - uOttawa Chancellor's Debate

Michael Pal is an associate professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa, where he is the director of the Public Law Group. He specializes in the comparative law of democracy and comparative constitutional law. He has a law degree and doctorate in law from the University of Toronto, where he was a Pierre-Elliot Trudeau Foundation Scholar, and earned an LLM in legal theory from the School of Law at NYU. Professor Pal has advised all levels of government on election and constitutional law, as well as election commissions and electoral boundary commissions. In 2017, he was appointed as a commissioner with the Far North Electoral Boundaries Commission for the Province of Ontario.
