Steering Committee for the Council on French Services and Programs

Role

The steering committee for the Council on French Programs and Services guides the work of the Francophonie governance entities, namely the Council, its the subcommittees, the Committee of administrative employees and the Committee of interfaculty champions. The steering committee will make recommendations to the Council with respect to candidates for the positions of members with a representative role, in consultation with University community stakeholders. 

Terms of Reference

Meetings

The steering committee for the Council on French Programs and Services will meet at least twice every term, as convened by its chair, to guide the work of the Francophonie governance entities, namely the Council, its the subcommittees, the Committee of administrative employees and the Committee of interfaculty champions. The steering committee will make recommendations to the Council with respect to candidates for the positions of members with a representative role, in consultation with University community stakeholders.

Attendance at meetings

Members may not appoint alternates to attend meetings in their place.

Reporting relationship

The steering committee will submit annually to the Council, the priorities for the coming year and a report on the previous year’s activities.  

Quorum

A majority of the members constitutes a quorum.
