A new safe space to enhance inclusion and belonging of BIPOC [Black, Indigenous and People of Colour] communities on campus was officially opened on February 28 in the University Centre (UCU) 301 B!

I am very proud of the opening of this space for the BIPOC communities of our campus. It is an open place for students, faculty and staff to facilitate in-person connections, foster trust and create mentorship and networking opportunities. We look forward to meeting you there!

I am also honoured to have launched the new uOttawa anti-racism awareness campaign. We are asking stakeholders from all parts of the University to get together against racism. We will occupy space across the campus with this message and gather momentum toward a more inclusive experience for all.
