Gee-Gees  camps are back!

At the University of Ottawa, all relevant COVID legislation will be practiced. 

What’s in store: 

  • Starting June 27, 2022, Camps will run Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.    
  • Before and after care at no added cost from 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. (late fees apply).   
  • Bilingual instruction. 
  • Recreational swim sessions.  Child must bring swimsuit every day
  • A Gee-Gees camps t-shirt for all campers.   
  • A wide range of camps this year, find out more about what’s in store below.  

Parent and guardian information:   

  • Registration will open February 7th, 2022.  
  • Complimentary parking for pick-up and drop-off.   
  • Each camp will have its own pick up and drop-off location. Refer to our Online Guardian Guide at geegees.ca for our full list and maps of the campus. 
  • Due to COVID-19, we will no longer be offering daily lunches.  Children and Youth are required to bring their own lunches and snacks.
  • Camps will run rain or shine only within the parameters of the Ontario COVID-19 framework.  We will communicate the change to registered families in a timely manner if these restrictions will further implicate your registration

Sports Camp Fund

The University of Ottawa, partnered with dedicated members of the greater community, have launched the Send a Kid to Camp initiative, backed by the Sports Camp Fund. The initiative hopes to make Gee-Gees camps accessible to deserving children demonstrating financial need from the Rideau-Vanier Ward.

Meet the Gee-Gees Counselors Team

Micaela is a counselor

Micaela is a student at the University of Ottawa, she has worked as a counsellor, head counsellor, administrative assistant and is currently our assistant program coordinator for Gee-Gees Camps! 

Sam is a counselor

Sam is a student at the University of Ottawa, he has worked as a counsellor in our younger swimmers camps for many years and is excited to be back for March Break Camps! 

Felix is a counselor

Felix is a student at the University of Ottawa and has been a counsellor for our Junior Gee-gees Camp the past few years! He is looking forward to being a part of March Break Camps!
