Getting support from a peer can allow you to:

  • Speak with someone who has lived similar experiences
  • Get perspective on some of your challenges
  • Set realistic goals for yourself
  • Develop your mental health skills

Our peer support programs are safe, judgment-free spaces. Professional staff supervise the students who run these programs.

Wellness Lounge

The Wellness Lounge is a safe and welcoming space you can visit on campus. The students who work at the Wellness Lounge are very familiar with health and wellness resources. They will be able to answer most of your questions. This is a good place to start if you are not sure what resource or program is best for you. Students are also trained in how to support others and can offer quick support on site.

Visit the Wellness Lounge in the Jock Turcot University Centre, Room 203.

Peer wellness chat

The chat function on this website (in the bottom right corner) allows you to chat with a peer who can help and provide support based on your needs. They can answer questions and listen if you need to talk to someone. It’s a great way to get quick support and resources, but it does not replace a session.
