Artwork Contest

This year the Student Health and Wellness Centre is launching an artwork contest to uOttawa and St-Paul University students. Enter our contest for a chance to win $500 and have your artwork in the Student Health Wellness Centre! All you need is creativity.

You can book your appointment with a health in the following 4 ways. We release timeslots a few days in advance, and they may book up quickly. If you are unable to book an appointment, please call the Centre directly.

There are four ways to book an appointment:

  1. In person: 801 King Edward, Room N203 (2nd floor)
  2. By phone: 613-562-5498  
  3. Online: through our web portal
  4. On the app: by downloading the UpPatient app from Google Play link or Apple Store link. When you launch the app, you must search the " uOttawa | Centre de santé et mieux-être étudiant / Student Health and Wellness Centre", select it and create your account. For more information on how to create your account, consult the UpPatient Help article link (in English only). Please note that the help features on the app are available in English only. 

Remember to always have your health card (or UHIP number if you’re an international student) and student card handy when booking and attending your appointment.


The center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, health promotion specialists psychotherapists, a psychologist and psychiatrists working together in a shared care model. 

These services are offered to all students: 

  • Mental health services (individual counseling, group psychotherapy, psychiatry) 
  • Health visit/walk-in 
  • Vaccination, injections, TB testing 
  • Bloodwork 
  • Prescription renewal 
  • IUD consultation and insertion 
  • Screening for communicable diseases. PAP test  
  • Health education, promotion, and prevention on several topics 

For more information regarding protection of your health information, please consult the Student Health And Wellness Centre Public Notice in accordance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). 

Students enrolled with the University of Ottawa or Saint Paul University have access to all services at the Student Health and Wellness Centre (some exceptions apply). Please consult the Student Eligibility for Care Policy

The Health and Wellness Centre is funded through the existing health fee. There may be some additional fees not covered by public health insurance, consult the list for more details.

Getting here

The Student Health and Wellness Centre is located at 801, King Edward Avenue. Whether you walk, take public transportation or drive, it is easily accessible on uOttawa's main campus.

From downtown, take the O-Train Line 1 or the bus routes 5, 6, 11 and 16 will drop you right in front of the Centre.
U-Pass card


If you are coming from Gatineau, the bus route 400 will drop you off close to the main uOttawa campus at the X, located just as short 15-minute walk from the Centre.

From Saint Paul University

From St-Paul University, the bus 16 or 55 will drop you off close, or enjoy a 23-minute walk to get to the Centre.


The new Student Health and Wellness Centre will provide integrated physical and mental health services for students as part of broader University efforts to make quick access to health care a priority.

Guided by our seven pillars of wellness and the principles of the Okanagan Charter, this Centre will:

  • Provide health-care services in both official languages through a multidisciplinary team working together and sharing a space, processes and policies. 
  • Create a safe environment where you can connect with peer educators, learn and receive care.
  • Enrich your learning experience by creating and offering internship and training opportunities.

  • Monday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
  • Tuesday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Thursday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.  
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.  
  • Sunday: Closed

This schedule may be adjusted based on service demand.
