Students in residence can choose to live in one of our Living Learning or Themed Communities. These communities allow you to live and connect with others with the same program and interests as you. Community Advisors (an upper-year student assigned to your floor) are at hand to support you, organize activities and guide you throughout your academic year.

Living Learning
Our Living Learning Communities support specific areas of study. If you choose to live in one of these communities, there’s a good chance you’ll share courses and labs with your floormates. A professional staff member from your faculty oversees your Living Learning Community to support you and your entire community by planning events specific to your area of study, telling you about academic resources and helping you connect with faculty members and other students.
Themed Community
Our Themed Communities support students who share a similar identity or interest. Studies have shown that integrating students into learning communities based on a common theme that incorporates students’ mutual interests is a powerful way to promote participation and learning. To make your residence experience even more enjoyable, a Community Advisor (an upper-year student assigned to your floor) oversees your community, organizing regularly scheduled fun and informative activities.
