The Residence Safety Team works in uOttawa’s residences in collaboration with the Residence Life Team, Client Relations Team and Protection Services.

Residence Safety Ambassadors and Residence Safety Team Leads help improve the student experience and ensure the safety of members of the university’s residence community. Ambassadors and Team Leads patrol residences and help in the education and compliance of Housing policies.

Residence Safety Ambassador

Department: Student Experience and Support
Number of Positions: A maximum of 40

Closing Date: May 31, 2023
Term of Position: August 22, 2022 – May 1, 2023 with possibility of extension
Remuneration: $17/hr + 4% vacation pay (+ $0.95/hr premium for shifts between midnight and 8:00 am) + 2% increase annually for returning staff
Number of hours per week: 12-20 hours per week in shifts of 4-8 hours mostly at night and on the weekends
Hours worked: Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including overnights and weekends.
