To find a volunteer opportunity abroad, you can get information from your faculty or a recognized organization or find a project you’d like to participate in yourself.

Your community volunteering abroad could be recognized on your Co-Curricular Record. Make sure to look carefully at the following resources:

  • Our going abroad checklist will help you with questions that you should ask and matters you should consider to make an informed choice.
  • Check out My World Abroad for free with your uOttawa email address. It has many resources to help you plan to volunteer abroad. (New! It now includes virtual resources for planning your international volunteering!)
  • Discover the Government of Canada’s International Youth Internship Program.
