Get your card in person

Your uOttawa card is automatically renewed whenever you register for courses, you must keep your card for the duration of your studies at the University of Ottawa.
  • Before you pick-up a card that was ordered online, please wait 24 hours after you’ve received the email letting you know that your card was printed.
  • The card will be ready at the reception desk of InfoService (TBT 129). You do not need to enter the virtual line.
  • You must be registered for courses to obtain a student card.
  • Card are printed at InfoService (TBT 129)

Sunglasses cannot be worn. You may wear tinted prescription glasses so long as your eyes are clearly visible.

You cannot wear a hat.

Women who wear a veil that partially hides their face may make an appointment with InfoService so they can be photographed without their veil by a female employee before InfoService opens at 9 a.m.

To receive a uOttawa card, you must present a valid government issued ID from the list below.  If you previously obtained a student card and need a replacement due to a legal name change, you will be required to present two pieces of ID from the list below and will be required to obtain your new card in person at InfoService (TBT 129).

  • Passport
  • Nexus card
  • Driver’s licence
  • Indian Status Card
  • Ontario BYID card issued by the LCBO
  • Federal government employee ID
  • Provincial government employee ID
  • Municipal government employee ID
  • Ontario photo ID
  • Canadian permanent resident card
  • Certificate of Canadian citizenship
  • Birth certificate
  • Affidavit

U-Pass cards, credit cards, or other forms of ID are not acceptable.
