Your uOttawa card is automatically renewed whenever you register for courses, you must keep your card for the duration of your studies at the University of Ottawa.

Picking up a student card that was ordered online?

The card will be ready at the reception desk of Assignment and uOttawa Card Services (90 University Private [90U] Room 145). You do need to enter the virtual line through the QLESS link here.

Sunglasses cannot be worn. You may wear tinted prescription glasses so long as your eyes are clearly visible.

You cannot wear a hat.

Women who wear a veil that partially hides their face may make an appointment with InfoService so they can be photographed without their veil by a female employee before InfoService opens at 9 a.m.

To receive a uOttawa card, you must present a valid government issued ID from the list below.  If you previously obtained a student card and need a replacement due to a legal name change, you will be required to present two pieces of ID from the list below and will be required to obtain your new card in person at InfoService (TBT).

  • Passport
  • Nexus card
  • Driver’s licence
  • Indian Status Card
  • Ontario BYID card issued by the LCBO
  • Federal government employee ID
  • Provincial government employee ID
  • Municipal government employee ID
  • Ontario photo ID
  • Canadian permanent resident card
  • Certificate of Canadian citizenship
  • Birth certificate
  • Affidavit

U-Pass cards, credit cards, or other forms of ID are not acceptable.
