If your card is lost or stolen, you should immediately deactivate it to protect your funds. You are responsible for any transactions made before the card is deactivated, so you must act fast.

If you need Flex dollars immediately but the uOttawa Card offices are closed, you can purchase a Discover uOttawa card to use in the meantime. However, you will not be able to transfer the balance to your uOttawa card.

  • Retrace your steps and return to the places you last were.
  • Contact the lost and found office.
  • If your card is turned into the uOttawa Card Service, we will contact you by email.

If you suspect or know that your card has been stolen on campus, report the incident to Protection Services so that they can investigate. You can deactivate your uOttawa card by following the steps mentioned below in the "Deactivate your card" section.

If you don’t need your card right away, we recommend that you wait a few days before requesting a new one. Go to the uOttawa Card Service office to obtain a new card. A $28 fee applies. Your old card will be deactivated and you will not be able to reactivate it.

If you find a uOttawa card, return it to the uOttawa Card Service. If you are not on campus, you can mail it to us.

Log in using your student number and uoAccess password.

  1. Select “Manage Account”.
  2. On the left, click “Deactivate card”.
  3. Click “Confirm”.

You can reactivate it by going to the uOttawa Card Service offices.
