The Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub (CP2H) has been awarded more than $115 million to boost Canada’s capacity to develop and manufacture life-saving biotherapeutics, including vaccines, gene therapies and cell therapies.
CP2H is co-led by McMaster University and the University of Ottawa, in partnership with The Ottawa Hospital.

They believe uOttawa’s new Advanced Medical Research Centre (AMRC) will serve as this much-needed bridge by incubating next-generation health technologies and treatments. Scheduled to open in 2026, the AMRC will welcome hundreds of researchers and employees from the Faculty of Medicine, along with accelerator and incubator companies and regional partners.
