Graduate Diploma in Health Education (offered in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine)

The Graduate Diploma in Health Education provides expertise in health education. It is offered only in French by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Education. It is possible to enrol on a full-time or part-time basis.

Master of Education (MEd), course option

This program includes a total of 10 courses (30 units): 3 compulsory courses (9 units), 5 courses (15 units) within the concentration and 2 elective courses in education at the graduate level (6 units).

Notes

• EDU 6536 or EDU 5590 must normally be completed at the beginning of the program.

Important
•    Compulsory courses must be taken in the language of your program of study.
•    Courses are 3 hours long and require about 6 to 9 hours of study per week of your own time. 
•    Most courses are offered in the evenings, however some courses may be offered during the day (usually in the afternoon). You are responsible for ensuring that you can attend the course in question, to complete the requirements of your program.

Master of Education (MEd), Major Research Paper option (MRP)

This program includes a total of 9 courses (30 units): 3 compulsory courses (9 units), 3 optional courses (9 units) within the concentration, 2 optional courses in education at the graduate level (6 units) and the major research paper (6 units).

Notes

1. EDU 6690 or EDU 6536 must be completed in the first or second term in which it is offered following admission.
2. MRP 6999 must be completed in the last term in which you are enrolled in the program.
3. Enrollment to the MRP should not exceed the maximum of one term.

• Compulsory courses must be taken in the language of your program of study.
• If you are a part-time student, you may not take more than 2 courses each term.
• Courses are 3 hours long and require about 6 to 9 hours of study per week of your own time. 
• The programs are governed by the academic regulations in effect for graduate studies.

Master of Arts in Education (MA) in Health Education

Candidates for the Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Health Education must successfully complete a minimum of six courses (18 credits): 2 compulsory courses (6 units), 2 courses from the following: EDU 6690, EDU 6537, MED 6537, EDU 6591, EDU 7590, EDU 7797 (6 units), 1 course (3 units) within the concentration, 1 optional course (3 units), in addition to a thesis proposal and the master's thesis.

• EDU 6690 should be taken at the beginning of the program.
• THM 7999 must be completed in the last term of your program.
• Compulsory courses must be taken in the language of your program of study.
