2 HSS 5995- Directed Studies in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences or the elective course can be taken in the fall or winter term of the first year. 

2 Students who register in HSS 5995 must also complete and sign the Abstract of Directed Study Form, obtain the necessary approvals and submit it by service request or by email to [email protected]

2 Students may replace HSS 5995 with a graduate-level elective course. If you choose this option, you must obtain the following approvals: the course professor, your thesis supervisor and the graduate program assistant director and submit them by email to [email protected]

*If you have not completed the thesis proposal (HSS6997) by the end of the Fall session, you must re-register for it in the Winter session.

**Students who register in HSS5995 (Directed Studies) must also complete and sign the Abstract of Directed Study Form, obtain the necessary approval(s) and return the form to the Academic Office (MNT 232) along with a completed and signed Graduate Registration Form. HSS5995 must be taken during the Fall or Winter session of your first year.

Students may replace HSS5995 with a graduate-level elective course chosen in consultation with their thesis supervisor and approved by the director of the MSc program. The elective course must be taken during the Fall or Winter session of your first year. If you choose to register for an elective course, please complete and sign the Graduate Registration form, the Student/Supervisor Course Selection Agreement Form, obtain the necessary approval(s) and return the forms to the Academic Office (MNT 232).
