Vanessa Baker-Murray practices at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic as Review Counsel for the Family Division. She is also coordinator of the Joint Placement clinical education program.
Vanessa graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the English Common Law program at the University of Ottawa. She completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International and Comparative Law at Trinity College Dublin, where her research focused on abortion as a socioeconomic right. She also holds a Bachelor of Journalism (B.J.) with Combined Honours in Human Rights from Carleton University and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin. She is a member of the Bar of Ontario.
