Family Medicine Resident Scholarly Project

The Department of Family Medicine believes that a competent family physician approaches patient care as a lifelong learner, striving for excellence through scholarly inquiry. Through the Family Medicine Resident Scholarly Project (FMRSP), residents will help advance health care for everyone. It is part of the Family Medicine Residency Program and is a requirement for graduation from uOttawa.

Are you engaging in research with human participants? Will you be using EMR data? Do you intend to publish your research? All researchers and their teams are highly encouraged to complete the TCPS 2 CORE tutorial.
Read the guidelines for the TCPS 2 tutorial.

Residents will prepare and present final reports at Research Inquiry and Opinion (RIO) Day. We will support efforts to publish results and make important contributions to knowledge in practice-based research.
