Updates regarding COVID-19

The Faculty of Medicine is committed to sharing information with our community on emerging issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Update: April 20, 2022

The University of Ottawa continues to monitor the sixth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and to seek advice on how best to protect the health and safety of our community.

Available data in Ontario indicates that the number of cases continues to rise. To ensure the safety of those on campus, we have decided to extend our current mandatory masking policy until the end of May, at which time we will reassess. Exceptions and details will be communicated to you directly by your faculty, department or school as needed.

We continue to strongly encourage you to get fully vaccinated and to get booster doses as soon as you become eligible, in order to protect yourself and the people around you.

We thank you as always for your understanding and cooperation.
