Student celebrating graduation at convocation ceremony
This past year has been challenging for all of us. We are incredibly proud of our students and of the resilience they have shown over the past year, but we know that it has been very difficult for some. They’ve seen their employment cut back, or even disappear, while not being able to connect with their peers on campus. And as their savings dwindle, they’re increasingly worried about being able to afford their education.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

When you make a donation, you’ll be helping a student reduce that financial burden so they can focus on their studies. As a community, we are many, so even a small donation will make a significant impact when combined with gifts from other generous alumni. Together, we can make a difference in the life of a struggling student.

By donating, you’ll be helping the next generation of leaders succeed in difficult circumstances. In the years ahead, they will be the ones to help solve the next great societal challenges, because that’s what university graduates do: they find answers. And they promote positive change in our world.

Here’s what one grateful student, Kiah, wants to share with you:

“I thank you for supporting my education financially in these difficult COVID times. Your generosity will allow me to continue my success as I pursue a BSc in Environmental Science. I hope to, one day, be an expert in my field and a female leader in a science that is very important to me and my values.”

At the University of Ottawa, students get an outstanding education and develop lifelong skills. These students care deeply about our society and about making the world a better place. Let’s do what we can, together, to help them accomplish their goals and become the leaders we need as a society.

Thank you in advance for your generous support.
