The facility is now equipped with the state-of-the-art confocal microscopes with the new LSM 800 and LSM 880-AiryScan FAST for super resolution acquisition, as well as a new DeltaVision Elite for ultra-fast live imaging. The CBIA core staff answer relevant methodological questions and provide expertise needed to successfully acquire and analyze images at the cellular and sub-cellular level in both live and fixed samples.

In addition to CBIA Core housed equipment we are happy to support a variety of associated systems within the Faculty of Medicine for additional user needs. Please contact the CBIA core if you are interested in getting set up on our associated multi-photon, STED, Apotome or live cell imaging set ups. In addition to Faculty of Medicine equipment we provide training and troubleshooting services on select systems at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
