Biography

Research Interests

  • Art and Human Rights
  • Domestic and State-sponsored Violence
  • Media, Communications, and Human Rights

I am a polyglot scholar, with an interest in the current practices and theories of human rights. My research interests include law and aesthetics, domestic and State-sponsored violence, as well as cartooning, communications, and human rights. Art and human-rights are inseparable components of my approach to human rights education and research. Images of Justice, a yearly satirical cartoon series, which I have been curating and delivering in partnership with the HRREC, is an illustration of my way of presenting research findings, in the form of political cartoons that shed light on our ongoing conversations in the field of human rights.
