Professor Chibuike Udenigwe of the School of Nutrition Sciences and the Department of Chemistry has earned international recognition with his recent election to the prestigious Global Young Academy, which brings together early career scholars worldwide.
“Thanks to his cutting-edge research in food biochemistry, Professor Udenigwe has made an outstanding contribution to advancing knowledge in this highly relevant area of expertise,” said Sylvain Charbonneau, vice-president research. “This prestigious distinction speaks to his exceptional research achievements and highlights his leading role among his peers internationally.”
Udenigwe’s election brings to 13 the number of University researchers elected to the academy since it was established in 2010. Members of the academy are chosen to serve a five-year term based on their excellent work and contribution to their discipline. The 2021 cohort will be inducted in June.
